West Indies captain banned for second Test

Jason Holder will not play in the second Test against the Black Caps starting on Saturday.

The West Indies will have a new captain for the second cricket test against the Black Caps in Hamilton starting on Saturday.

Regular skipper Jason Holder has been fined and banned for one match, after the tourists maintained a slow over rate in their opening test loss in Wellington.

Holder has also been fined 60 percent of his match fee, while his teammates have been fined 30 percent.

Match referee Chris Broad says because Holder was found guilty of a minor over-rate offence in April, the second breach within 12 months has triggered a certain suspension.
